The police are saying these four men are part of the robbers that wore military uniforms to rob a bank in Lekki on the 12^th of march, 2015. You will recall that 5 people were killed during the robbery- 3 policemen and two civilian, including a 15-year old girl. They were paraded today by Lagos State Police Commissioner. Their names were given as Duke Odogbo, 38, Lawrence Kingsley, 31, Ebi Tosan, 20, and Ekelemo Kuete, 30.

Muhammadu Buhari at the March 28 poll and to also thank former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the platform. He says his mission is to get to Lagos and thank Tinubu for providing the platform. According to him, the journey will take him five days.

Quest Of Having A Child! Woman Buys Twins For N1.9m

The police in Lagos State, western Nigeria, have arrested a 52-year old woman identified as Mrs. Olamide Bello for allegedly buying twin babies for N1.9 million.

According to, the suspect who resides at Adeniji Street, Meiran, a suburb of Lagos State, with her husband and step-children, told her husband, Mr. Wasiu Bello, that she was pregnant and that she has been instructed to go and deliver of the baby in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital in southern Nigeria.

Mrs. Bello was alleged to have spent two weeks in Port Harcourt before returning to Lagos with twin babies, a boy and a girl, claiming that she gave birth to them.

Curious neighbours who never saw her with pregnancy prior to her trip to Port Harcourt alerted the police at  Alakuko, alleging that they suspected that the woman may have stolen the babies.

Sources said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Alakuko Police Station, Mr. Musa Alimi, a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, instructed some female detectives to investigate the allegation.

P.M.News learnt that when Mrs. Bello was confronted by the female detectives, she insisted that she gave birth to the twins and also suggested the police should take her to a medical doctor to confirm her claim.

It was at the hospital that doctors confirmed that she is not the biological mother of the babies.

At that point she had to confess that she bought the babies in Port Harcourt for N1.9 million.

When her husband, Mr. Wasiu Bello, was arrested and interrogated, he told the police that his wife told him that she was pregnant and wanted to go and deliver of the baby in Port Harcourt.

He said he obliged only for her to come back with the babies claiming she gave birth to twins.

He dissociated himself from the crime.

I Am Innocent Of My Drug Charges, But I Don’t Intend To Go To the US Now Or Anytime Soon- Kashamu

Senator-elect and Ogun PDP Chieftain, Buruji Kashamu has said he is innocent of the drug charges claim everyone is talking about and said he has been vindicated by a law court in London who found him innocent. He says the people screaming about the alleged charges are people who have a thing or two against him, and he will be more than glad if they follow the due process of going to court, so that he can take it up from there. Going to the US right now is like jumping into a fire, Kashamu said in an interview with Sahara Reporters. His words after the cut.

“I am a Nigerian. I am not running away from my fatherland. If anyone thinks he has a case against me, he should follow due process and we will take it up from there. I am not under any obligation to go to the US to answer the same charges after the true judgment of the British court has exonerated me of the same allegations.

“Asking me to take the next available flight to the US so as to clear my name is like asking me to jump in a fire-may the Almighty rescue me from it. If the US prosecutor could hide important evidence that later exonerated me in the UK court, only God knows what they will do in their country.

“I have done a lot of things to clear my name. I spent four years in detention at the hands of the US authorities to prove my innocence before I was eventually exonerated. This was also in the presence of the US prosecutors and other agencies in various countries, like the Republic of Benin, Nigeria. It was after a rigorous trial with pictorial and documentary evidence that I was discharged.”

Kashamu further explained that the case was taken to London and he was acquitted.

“I have cleared my name and myself in London. If anybody believes that they have any other case against me, they should come through due process. I am ready to challenge it. I am ready to face it without any problem.

“I have never in my life put my foot into the United States. I have never demanded for their sticker. I have been a businessman right from 18 years old. Up till today, I continue doing my business. My last submission is that I know nothing about what they are saying over there,” he said.

Sola Sobowale Admits There Is No Money In Acting, Says She Needs Money To Survive

Veteran actress and ageless beauty, Sola Sobowale has admitted that there is no money in acting and that she needs money to survive like every other working Nigerian. According to her, actresses and actors are not well paid because most people do not want to invest in movies, and movie producers mostly run at loss after producing movies and never get their production money back not to talk of making profit from it. She used herself as an example saying when she shot a movie for N5.8m 2 years ago, she only made N3m back which is a loss. She also spoke about struggling in UK to work just to produce movies because it’s her passion. Her words after the cut.

On why the produce quantity movies instead of quality movies, she said;

It’s a pity because you know the answer yourself. We need to feed ourselves. I shot a movie about 2 or 3 years ago called Adayeba Ote Part 1, 2, 3. When I was tired of recording, I had spent about N5.8 million and we had not finished editing. After editing, I did not make up to 3 million. I thank God I did not borrow any money to do that, if I had borrowed money what would have happened to me? I lived in England, I do all the jobs and I bring the money back to Nigeria to shoot a movie because this is me, this is my passion. When you talk about quality, where are you going to get the money for the quality?

If she is fulfilled as an actress, Sola said;

I am not talking about money but you know something in life? When you enjoy doing what you love, you will be fine. I am fine but I need money to survive. I want all my effort to be crowned because I work very hard so I can’t just be doing it in vain

Old giant threes with fat, twisting trunks that  outlived their colonial planters, spread forth their huge branches of green leaves over the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, Jengree  in Bassa Local Government Area, LGA, of Plateau State.

The hospital, said to be over 60 years old, bore  all the trappings of colonial structures in Nigeria – simple homes of asbestos roofs with walls  made of stones and well spaced from each other; and rows of flower beds all over the place.

In one of the wards, Pastor Emmanuel Danjuma Garkida lay on his sick bed bare-chest, with sunken eyes that seemed to stare at nothing. There was a wide band of bandage on his lower abdomen. The story behind the bandage is a summary of the bloodlet that took place in Saminaka in  Lere LGA, Kaduna State,  on  April 13 and 14  after the 2015 gubernatorial election.  In barely audible voice, Garkida, who  hails  from Borno State, narrated to Sunday Vanguard his close shave with death.

Naming ceremony

“I come from Borno State, but I am a serving pastor with the Redeemed Church of God, Yobe Province,” he stated.

“My wife is a native of Abadawa, Saminaka  in Kaduna State  and she had come back to her parents and put to bed a baby boy a week earlier. I had come to see her, my kids and her family, and  I could name the new child.

“I took a bike, that morning to go see my fellow pastor in the other side of Saminaka to help officiate the ceremony”.

According to him, on arriving the Saminaka main bridge, on the Jos-Zaria Expressway, met had a grim encounter.

The bridge has for long served as a kind of green line between the two major political parties in the country, and the two main religions. Sunday Vanguard learnt that the two group of people had always voted in opposite directions in all elections since 1999. Some said it even dated back before then.

Christians and some Hausa/Fulani occupy the eastern part of the bridge and dominate the Abadawa ward where the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has a comfortable base in the town. The western part, called Hayin Gada and populated mostly  by   Hausa/Fulani and Muslims,  but with good presence of other tribes, is a bastion of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

‘Kill the infidel, cut him down!’

“I reached the bridge on my way to Abadawa when I met some Hausa youths carrying weapons and inflicting injuries on passersby who were not of their own. But since I know some of the boys, I asked them to show mercy on people. To my surprise some of them started yelling, “Kill him! Kill the infidel! Cut him down!”, he said. “One of them rushed at me with a machete. I don’t know how I managed to grab him and threw him away. Another came with a sword and aimed at my neck, I used  my hand to receive the blow.

“I started running, and one of them used a cutlass and wounded me  at the back of my head.  I started bleeding and I could feel the blood dripping on my clothes. I kept running, and they kept hitting  me  with sticks and stabbing me with knives until I fell.

Saved by a stranger

“As they were coming to finish me off, the last thing I remembered was that a Hausa man, well dressed in white agbada and cap sped on a bike and arrived at my side.

”The man shouted at them in Hausa, ‘leave this man alone and disappear now! Are you not satisfied that you have killed him?  Every one of you must leave immediately I don’t know what happened afterwards. I went  into coma, the bleeding and pains were too much.

“The man whom I had never met before was said to have stayed there with me, as I later learnt, until my friend, Skido, a Yoruba man,  came and evacuated  me to  an hospital in Saminaka. I was told that I had ruptured intestine.

“The doctor had to bring out my entire intestine and clean up by stomach before stitching me back. I have been stabbed in many places. You can see the healing wounds.  I was brought here  to Jengree when my condition got worse. But I am  fine now. And I thank God for sparing my life. My sister and mother have been the ones bearing the emotional and financial burden of this problem alone”.

Regina Askia’s First Daughter Involved In Ghastly Auto Crash

Former Nigerian actress and now a nurse in the US, Regina Askia is full of thanks to God for sparing the life of her daughter who was involved in a ghastly auto accident on Wednesday in Ivory Coast. Stephanie had gone to spend some time with her dad in Ivory Coast when the accident happened. Below is how Regina narrated it on her Facebook page;

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning, new every morning, Great is thy name oh Lord.

My daughter Stephanie was involved in a ghastly car accident in Ivory Coast where she was interning in her father’s company and catching a vacation.

“On the way back home with friends driving, Stephanie was in the back seat , thankfully with her seat belt on. The car took a full side impact from a truck in an intersection. Side and back of vehicle crushed but Stephy manages to climb out but falls onto the tar and hits her head.

Spent two days in ICU and recovery and was discharged home with a clean bill. Good news is she and her friends all made it out but Stephy suffered some compression to the chest and neck contusions. This happened on Wednesday night and I am just now knowing about it.

I’m too weak with relieve to be mad, and i’m just blessing God. Rejoice with me.
