Two accident victims simply identified as Tayo and Toyin would have died in Lagos state but for sympathizers at the scene of two major accidents . It was gathered that Mr. Toyin was knocked down by a moving train while Mr. Tayo was a victim of a hit-and-run driver were allegedly left to die slowly by the Lagos State Emergency Agency who despite of the numerous calls did not allegaedly turn up to rescue the victims. Mr. Tayo who claimed to be residing at Number 10 Arogun Street Iyanu- Ipaja said he was knocked down by a hit and run driver around the Ile Zik area of Ikeja on the December 4th while Mr. Toyin
was badly hurt by a moving train around the railway crossing Ikeja on December 5th
Mr. Obinna Ede a member of the Red Cross said members of the public had to take the victims to the hospital after two hours of waiting for the ambulance . A sympathizer Jonah Kalu said they called the Ambulance to rescue the victims but nobody showed up .

He said “At exactly two hours of waiting for an ambulance that was not forthcoming , we called one Mr. Balogun the Officer-in Charge of the Ikeja terminus of the Nigeria Railways but he said he was not informed by any of his staffs that there was any accident.he however called the Lagos State Ambulances Services and went to the accident spot unfortunate his efforts could not pull the men of Lagos State Ambulance Service to come to he scene and we ended up taking the victim to the hospital ourselves to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital where the victims were treated and hurriedly discharged on the excuse that medical staffs were on strike”
In a recent development, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has unveiled a device that would put an end to road accidents in the country.
It would be recalled that on November 13, 2014, fourteen people reportedly lost their lives when a fully loaded tanker and a truck collided on the Ogbomoso-Jebba Express Road, Ilorin axis.
